"My journey began on October 26th 2003. A horrible series of wildfires was ravaging San Diego County, and my family was trapped in the chaos of the Paradise fire. On that day, I lost everything; my home, my baby sister, and almost my own life; as I was burned 2nd and 3rd degree over 86% of my body. It was merely through the grace of God that I survived, and for months, I struggled to find meaning in my life."
